Today ... well, yesterday now since it's after midnight, my mom passed on. My sister and I were with her. She had a peaceful passing.
My dogs are wandering around the house wondering where Grandma is. It's hard to explain to them that she's gone.
I'm not sure how long it will take me to get things settled here and be able to concentrate on my writing again. I'll get there, just not sure how long it will take.
I need to try to get some sleep. The funeral home will be calling early in the morning, and we'll have to go down there and take care of any paperwork etc. I just wanted to share my sad news with you.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I didn't know you then, but I am starting to know. I hope in the 2 years that have pased, the grief has dwindled, but that you still remember her, and have made a place for her in your heart. I'm very, truely sorry!

I hope in the 2 years that have pased, the grief has dwindled, but that you still remember her, and have made a place for her in your heart. I'm very, truely sorry! Thank you, Lou. It's actually been three years since I lost her. And it's taken me this long to really start to want to get back into my writing. I'd done most of my grieving before she passed, so it didn't hit me as hard as it could have, but yes, I still miss her. She wasn't just my mom, but she was also my best friend and companion.

I one of the "izies" that means that I feel sorry for your pain, but haven't felt it. Nor have I been that close to anybody. Ok, I'm going to stop typing now.
